Instructional Design (ID) is the practice of making training more effective, efficient, and attractive. The basic aim of Instructional Design is to make your learners understand things. But, most Instructional Designer does not concentrate on the simple fact is, they think it's just like training.

The ID consists of several key fundamental strategies and teaching methodology that triggers effective and efficient learning. There are some major fundamental ID’s:

Understanding the needs of students:

Before you start designing training materials, you have to find the needs of learners, what exactly he wants, what he was not able to understand, concentrate on this.

Capturing the attention of students

Simply create a training based on the needs of the audience is not enough. The audience should be interested also in training.

Moving from simple to complex:

Instructional design starts with a simple concept, which is relevant to the audience. Once you've conquered the basics, move to the complexity. People learn more if they can relate what they already know (knowledge base exists) to the new information.

Moving gradually:

Move logically from one level to the next training. If you think training is complex and will take time for students to understand it, then take some time to build a conceptual knowledge base of students and then start with complex information, such as case studies, simulations, etc.
